Summary : |
A most successful camp was held this weekend with a new record senior grading with one Yondan, two Sandan, three Nidan and ten Shodan. Altogether there were 70 participates with 69 grading for 4th Kyu or over.

Hanshi would like to thank all the instructors that did a great job in training and preparing their students.
It would be difficult to single out any particular participant in the grading. However, it is hard not to mention Sensei Penita Davies, Sensei John Volkerts and Sensei Alicia Smith on an outstanding effort. That is not to even remotely suggest that the others put in less effort. They were certainly equal to the task with both their effort and determination and the list would be too long to mention them all.
Also thanks to everyone at the camp and the Yudansha that fronted up to do the kumite at the grading and set a great pace and helped turned it into a very memorable event. It would be remiss to to mention the Yudansha who helped organize the running of the grading, namely Shihan Gibbons, Sensei Sklavos and Sensei Hardy - who also organized the openning ceremony and to all those that stayed behind to clean up the hall and to Sempai Portley for supervising the camp clean up.
