Shihan Bob Boulton began his Kyokushin journey when he trained with the founder Sosai Masutatsu Oyama from 1959 to 1965, attaining the rank of Sandan. In 1965 he returned to Great Britain and together with Hanshi Steve Arneil (also Sandan at that time) founded the British Karate Kyokushinkai(BKK). In 1969, he emigrated to Australia where he practiced and taught and helped build Kyokushin Karate in Australia. |
